More Infomation
In 2002, Eastern Michigan University Club Water Polo made its debut with only 9 players. The initial 7, Molly Morris, Tabitha Hammar, Brooke Lippert, Emily Hammond, Allison Christlieb, Liz Garcia and Lindsay Barbar played Iron Women Water Polo, no substitutions, for the first 2 tournamnents. The final 2 tournaments showed Melissa Marchall and Chelsea Kieborth joining the squad. Kiehborth and Marshall both swam for the Varsity Swim Team at EMU and were unable to attend due to there training schedules.
Though the year and the 4 tournaments that we attended, these young ladies showed other teams, coaches, and officials that EMU had a foundation of hard work and an ethic of always giving 100%. The team, filled with girls that had little or no experiance, came together as individuals and walked away as friends, as a TEAM.
These girls have started the Tradition of Excellence Eastern Michigan University Aquatics have always upheld. The team contines to grow and develope. EMU is looking for individuals that will keep that tradition alive in their eyes and in their hearts. Our water polo program is looking for individuals that want to be apart of a team with regards to academics and athletics.
